TL;DR: Achievers International Campus offers a six-month Postgraduate Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. It is an OTHM Level 7 qualification regulated by Ofqual, equal to a master's level on the UK framework. You enter with any bachelor's degree, or with five years of work experience that includes two years in a managerial role.

Every product on a shop shelf, every shipment through the Colombo port and every parcel delivered to a door depends on logistics. Companies in Sri Lanka need people who can plan, buy, store and move goods with fewer delays and lower waste. This guide explains what the Achievers diploma teaches, who it suits and where it can lead.

What the qualification is

The course is an OTHM Level 7 Diploma with 120 credits. Ofqual regulates it, and it sits at the same level as a master's degree on the UK Regulated Qualifications Framework. The study period is six months. You study at the Dehiwala Campus, which is the head office of Achievers International Campus.

It is a diploma, not a full master's degree. After you finish, you may be able to continue to a dissertation stage worth 60 credits to earn a full master's degree or an MBA, subject to the entry requirements of the institution you choose for that stage. Our guide to the postgraduate diploma as a step to an MBA explains how that second stage works.

What you study

The course page lists six compulsory modules in the first semester:

  • Logistics Management

  • Supply Chain Planning, Modeling and Analytics

  • Procurement and Supply Management

  • Supply Chain and Operations Strategy

  • Sustainable Operations Management

  • Business Research Methods

Together they cover logistics, procurement, transportation, warehousing, distribution and supply chain operations. The research methods module prepares you to write a dissertation if you continue to a master's.

Who can join

You need one of two things:

  • Any bachelor's degree, in any subject.

  • At least five years of work experience, including two years in a managerial role.

You also need a C pass in G.C.E. O/L English, or an equivalent qualification.

This makes the diploma open to graduates who studied something unrelated to logistics, and to experienced supervisors and managers who never completed a degree. If you work in a warehouse, a shipping line, a manufacturing plant or a retail chain, the work experience route may fit you.

Fees and intakes

No tuition fee and no intake date are listed on the course page at the moment. Please do not rely on an estimate from anyone else. Ask Achievers for the current fee, the payment plan and the next start date, and check the course page again before you apply.

Who it suits

Graduates changing direction

If your degree is in business, IT or science and you want a clear professional focus, a six-month diploma gives you a specialism without a long break from work or income.

Working managers

If you already manage people or operations, the work experience route lets you add a formal qualification to your record. That can matter when you apply for senior roles or plan to enter a master's programme later.

People planning an MBA

Some students use a diploma like this to build the credits and the subject knowledge before a dissertation stage. For the wider choices, read our guide to the MBA in Sri Lanka.

Careers it points towards

The modules point towards roles in procurement, warehouse and distribution management, transport planning, supply chain analysis and operations strategy. These roles appear in manufacturing, retail, shipping, ports, e-commerce and the public sector. Job titles vary by employer, so read job advertisements and compare their requirements with the module list above.

How to apply

  1. Read the entry requirements on the course page.

  2. Prepare your degree certificate, or proof of your work experience and managerial role.

  3. Keep your O/L English result ready.

  4. Ask Achievers for the fee and the next intake.

  5. Apply through Uplift.
