TL;DR: An MBA in Sri Lanka on Uplift comes in three shapes. A full MBA for working managers, such as the London Metropolitan University MBAs taught at ESOFT Uni, listed at LKR 790,000 total tuition for the specialist versions. A six-month MBA top-up for people who already hold a 120-credit postgraduate diploma. Or a focused one-year MSc in marketing or project management. Your current qualification and years of experience decide which door you can use.
Most people who search for an MBA are not asking "should I do one?" They are asking "which one can I actually get into, and how long will it take while I keep my job?" This guide answers that question using the programs listed on Uplift today.
What counts as an MBA in Sri Lanka
An MBA is a master's degree in general management. It covers leadership, finance, marketing, people and strategy, and it usually expects you to bring work experience into the classroom.
In Sri Lanka you will meet three kinds of postgraduate business study:
A full MBA. You start from a bachelor's degree or a professional qualification, plus a few years of management work, and complete every module.
An MBA top-up. You already hold a Level 7 postgraduate diploma, so you only complete the final research stage.
A specialist MSc. One year, one field, such as digital marketing or project management.
Most programs below are UK-awarded and taught in Colombo, so you keep working here.

Who gets in. A relevant bachelor's degree or an equivalent professional qualification, plus work experience, typically two years or more in a managerial or professional role. Each specialist MBA asks for experience in its own field, for example HR experience for the HR MBA.
How it is taught. The General MBA listing describes eight compulsory modules, from leadership and people management to a final business research project. Classes run on weekly, monthly or blended schedules, and assessment is by assignment rather than written exams. That suits people who work full-time.
Which specialism to pick. Choose the one that matches the job you want next, not the job you have now. An accountant moving into a finance manager role gets more from the Finance MBA. A supervisor who wants to run a department may get more from the General MBA.
