TL;DR A construction management course in Sri Lanka is a good next step for engineers, quantity surveyors and architects who want to lead projects. ESOFT Uni lists two Kingston University master's programs for working professionals, one in construction management and one in structural design with construction management. Both are part-time, and both ask for a relevant degree.
Construction projects need people who can read a drawing and also manage a budget, a contract and a team. Many professionals reach a point where technical skill is no longer enough, and a management qualification helps them move up.
This guide sets out the construction and built environment routes currently listed on Uplift, from the first degree to the master's.

The block below shows the master's programs. Read each course page for the full details.
The two master's programs
MSc Management in Construction
This program is awarded by Kingston University London and delivered at ESOFT Uni, part-time. The program record lists a total tuition fee of LKR 840,000 and an application fee of LKR 25,000.
It suits people from the built environment who want to manage projects for a contractor, a client or a consultant. The content covers financial management, including budgeting, project appraisal and cash flow forecasting, construction law and contracts, and leadership skills.
Entry requires a relevant undergraduate degree in civil engineering, construction, architecture, quantity surveying or a related built environment field, with at least second class honours or equivalent. Experience in construction is an advantage and English proficiency may be required.
See the MSc Management in Construction page at ESOFT Uni.
MSc Structural Design and Construction Management
This program is also awarded by Kingston University London and delivered part-time. The record lists the same total tuition fee of LKR 840,000 and an application fee of LKR 25,000.
It is aimed at civil and structural engineers who want to move into senior roles in structural design practice or in managing construction projects. It combines advanced structural engineering with construction management, and it is built for students who are in full employment.
Entry requires a relevant degree in civil, structural or construction engineering, with at least second class honours or equivalent. Experience in the industry is an advantage. See the MSc Structural Design and Construction Management page at ESOFT Uni.
How to choose between them
If your background is wide, such as quantity surveying, architecture or construction, the management-focused MSc is open to more degree types.
If you are a civil or structural engineer who wants to stay close to design while growing into management, the structural design route fits.
Both are part-time, so they suit people who keep working during the program.
Both programs share the same awarding university and fee in the records, so the decision comes down to the content and your background. Check the course pages for modules, duration and the next intake.
