This two-year full-time, face-to-face Higher Diploma is awarded by Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU), and ICBT arranges the graduation ceremony in Sri Lanka. It covers structural, geotechnical, hydraulic, environmental and transportation engineering, with site visits, workshops and laboratory work. The first year covers engineering mathematics, civil engineering technology, geotechnics, materials, structural analysis and design, site surveying and CAD, and fluid mechanics and hydraulics. The second year covers advanced engineering mathematics, surveying and transportation, advanced geotechnics, water and environmental engineering, advanced structural analysis, and two projects. Intakes are listed in March and September. The page shows a university fee of GBP 500 and asks applicants to contact their centre for ICBT's fee.
A credit pass (C) or better for English at the GCE O/L, or ICBT Academic English Studies, or IELTS 6.0 overall with no component below 5.5, taken within two years of the course start date (or equivalent).
