TL;DR. The MBA in Management Strategy at KIU University is a two-year postgraduate program at SLQF Level 10, delivered in a blended mode that mixes online and face-to-face teaching. Entry has several routes, from a business degree to a degree in any subject plus two years of experience. The program record does not list a tuition fee, so confirm it with KIU.
Choosing an MBA is partly a question of entry rules and partly a question of how you want to study. This guide sets out how the KIU program is built, who can enter, what the record does and does not tell you, and what to ask before you apply.

What the program is
The Master of Business Administration in Management Strategy is a two-year program with six academic terms. It sits at Level 10 of the Sri Lanka Qualifications Framework (SLQF), which is the level the program record gives for an MBA. KIU University offers it, and the record states that it is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

How you study
Teaching is blended, combining online sessions with face-to-face teaching. That helps if you live outside Colombo or work during the week, although the residential workshops mean some attendance is part of the plan. Ask KIU for the workshop calendar, and ask what the international residential workshop involves, so you can plan leave and costs early.
What you learn
The curriculum starts with general management and then moves to strategy. Topics on the record include:
Management process and practice, accounting, economics and business statistics.
Business finance, marketing management, human resource management and technology operations.
Organisational behaviour, industrial psychology and information management.
Strategic management, green management, global business strategy and business law.
Research methodology and an independent thesis.
The record lists strategic management, business leadership, critical thinking and analytical decision-making, innovation and creativity, teamwork and professional development as the skills the program builds.
