BSc (Hons) Business Computing

About this course

The BSc (Hons) Business Computing is a four-year, full-time degree awarded by the University of Westminster, UK. It is recognised by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka and accredited by the BCS, UK, and is taught within the IIT Business School. The course gives a grounding in computing, data and artificial intelligence technologies, applied to real business problems. You learn to analyse, design and build digital solutions for business systems, alongside problem solving, communication, project management and teamwork. Year 1 covers business computing fundamentals, data analysis, information systems, requirements analysis, database technologies and web design. Year 2 adds agile project management, business information systems development, cloud-driven entrepreneurship, data visualisation and machine learning. Year 3 is an industrial placement, with an international experience option. The final year includes a final project, business innovation with AI, digital strategy and information systems security.
