BSc (Hons) Artificial Intelligence and Data Science

About this course

The BSc (Hons) Artificial Intelligence and Data Science is a four-year, full-time degree awarded by Robert Gordon University, UK, and recognised by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka. The programme starts with foundations across systems, mathematics, programming and AI and data science, then specialises as you advance through the four stages. Topics include databases, web technology, data structures and algorithms, machine learning, simulation and modelling, data engineering, deep learning, the Internet of Things and machine vision. Year 3 is a compulsory one-year industrial placement, during which students take the Deep Learning module and one elective. Students who finish the first three years can choose to exit with a BSc in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. The final year adds computational intelligence, research trends and an individual research project.
