TL;DR An MSc in cyber security in Sri Lanka suits graduates who want to move into security roles without leaving the country. Universal College Lanka offers an MSc Cyber Security with the University of Lancashire, and ESOFT Uni offers an MSc in Network and Information Security with Kingston University. Both need an undergraduate degree, and they differ in fee, delivery and focus.
Security teams in banks, telecom companies and software firms keep asking for people who can find weak points and manage risk. A master's degree is one way to move into that work, especially if your first degree is in computing, IT or a related field.
This guide compares the two postgraduate routes currently listed on Uplift. It uses fees, entry rules and awarding universities from each program record, so you can see how they differ before you apply.
What a cyber security master's covers
Most programs combine technical depth with management skills and finish with a large project or dissertation. You can expect to meet networks, cryptography, secure software, risk standards and a research module.
The two programs below take different angles. One leans toward security management and optional modules such as digital forensics. The other leans toward networks, wireless systems and cryptography.

It also lists professional qualifications equivalent to a UK degree, such as CIM, SLIM, CIMA or ACCA, and relevant work experience that shows aptitude for master's-level study. Alumni of the college may apply. Subject prerequisites can apply depending on the pathway, so confirm this with the institute.
ESOFT Uni
The program lists a relevant undergraduate degree in computing, IT, engineering or a related field, with at least second class honours or equivalent. Some experience in networking or security is an advantage, and English language proficiency may be required.
