Undergraduates and people with A/L plus one year or O/L plus two years of work experience can join this certificate, which gives production staff a structured grounding in quality. The course has four sections: the context of quality management, quality planning and inspection, quality control and assurance (control charts, reliability, improvement methods), and quality tools including 5S, Lean Six Sigma and total quality management. It closes with productivity, quality management systems and project report writing. NIBM lists the course at Colombo and Kurunegala. The fee is LKR 60,000 plus LKR 2,000 for registration.
