About this course

This certificate is for people who want a working grasp of both financial and management accounting. Learners with some work experience are admitted on A/L or O/L routes. Early units cover principles, books of prime entry, double entry, error correction and bank reconciliation, then final accounts using Excel, cash flow statements and interpretation. The management side adds marginal costing, variance analysis, activity based costing, time value of money, internal controls, taxation, working capital and the balanced scorecard. English-medium classes are offered at Colombo, Rajagiriya, Kandy, Galle and Matara, over six months.
