A 100-hour diploma on credit, market and operational risk, Pillar 2 reviews and Basel III, with case studies using bank financial statements.
Offered by
Institute of Bankers of Sri LankaThe Diploma in Bank Integrated Risk Management gives an in-depth look at the characteristics of banking business and the range of risks facing banks and financial institutions. It covers how to identify and assess those risks, the tools to manage them, the role of corporate governance, and recent developments in the Basel capital adequacy framework. Six modules take participants from the risk management process, including lessons from the 2007 financial crisis, to credit risk assessment (rating and scoring models, RORAC, concentration risk), market risk (value at risk, duration analysis, ALCO and derivatives) and operational risk (RCSA, key risk indicators, business continuity and outsourcing risk). The final two modules cover the Pillar 2 regulatory review, with stress testing and ICAAP, and Basel III. IBSL says participants are expected to assess and manage banking risks in a consolidated way. The programme totals 100 hours, is taught in English, and awards a certificate.
