About this course
The Bachelor of Science Honours in Nursing at KIU is a University Grants Commission–recognised and Ministry of Higher Education–approved degree programme specially designed for Registered Nurses who wish to advance their education and careers. The programme enhances knowledge, research competence, and leadership potential — preparing graduates for advanced practice, teaching, and managerial roles in healthcare. Entry requirements
- Be a Registered Nurse with the Sri Lanka Nursing Council (SLNC) or Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC)
- Possess a Diploma in Nursing issued by the Ministry of Health, Sri Lanka, or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution
- International students must provide certified proof of equivalent nursing qualifications and English language proficiency
