Awarded by
Kingston University
In response to the growing global threats of cybercrime, industrial espionage, and politically motivated cyber-attacks, ESOFT Metro Campus in partnership with Kingston University – London offers a forward-thinking BSc (Hons) in Cyber Security and Digital Forensics. This programme addresses the increasing demand for skilled professionals across government, finance, law, media, and national security sectors. With demand for qualified cyber security experts far exceeding supply in both Sri Lanka and internationally, this degree aims to close the skills gap by producing highly trained, career-ready graduates. The curriculum combines in-depth academic learning with practical application, equipping students with critical skills in ethical hacking, incident response, digital investigation, and information assurance. Industrial placements are strongly encouraged before the final year to provide hands-on experience and enhance employability. Career readiness is embedded throughout the course, with key competencies such as technical documentation, professional communication, and interview techniques introduced early. Students can obtain an HND after two years, enter the workforce, and return to complete the honours degree. The programme also offers flexibility to finish in Sri Lanka or transfer to a partner university in the UK or Australia.
