About this course
The PreBiomed Program is designed to provide fundamental knowledge in Biomedical Science, Biotechnology, Medicine, Molecular Biology, and Genetics to candidates expecting to pursue higher studies in Life Sciences. It is an ideal preparatory course for Biology stream students after A/Levels, equipping them with knowledge across various Life Science fields and providing hands-on industry experience. The program covers core disciplines including Laboratory Techniques, Food Science and Technology, Drug and Pharmaceutical Technology, Human Anatomy and Physiology, and Molecular Biology and Genetics. Delivered on campus at AIBS Colombo, it bridges the gap between secondary education and degree-level Life Sciences study. Students completing the PreBiomed Program gain a strong foundation that supports progression into the BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science, BSc (Hons) Biotechnology, and other Life Sciences degree programs offered at AIBS.
